Organized by Sustainable Design, from 12 to 15 November will be the second edition of the Sustainable Festival, the first space that celebrates the Argentine design with environmental awareness.
With the participation of over 70 designers and more than 100 products, the event will feature a strong and varied program of theoretical and practical content design and sustainable lifestyle.

Sustainable Festival aims to spread sustainable design strategies implemented by designers, producers, companies and organizations and, in turn, link to all stakeholders to promote development and discussion of responsible practices in the design.

Talks offered by researchers, practitioners, academics, institutions and businesses counting the latest technology and innovation. And talks a case-example, where renowned designers will present their experiences working on the issue. All these, within an atmosphere of closeness and sharing. ·
Workshops, where renowned designers specializing in reuse, recycling and techniques manual will guide children and adults in performing various everyday objects.
audiovisual projections, where visitors can watch documentaries and films relating to global environmental issues.

Space information and reading, where visitors can obtain information and ask questions of material-based innovation design and ecology.
Sustainable Festival 09 will participate in the established and emerging designers, as plot, Baum, Pneumatics Indarra DTX, Planar, Joan of Arc, Designo Patagonia, Marcelo Senra, Miki Friedenbach and Studio Head. They also have their space companies and organizations in the industry, academics, journalists and people involved in the sustainable lifestyle.
Other objects can be seen : cardboard furniture, street furniture from recycled plastic and rice husks, biomass stoves, solar ovens, lights that work to kinetic energy and low-power projects social and fair trade accessories made from reused gliders, the latest trends in sustainable textiles and clothing organic cotton, wood pulp and other biodegradable materials and products made from parts of the industry standard.
On Saturday 14 November, under the Night of Museums, the Sustainable Festival Night will be open from 20 to 2am. That night there will be DJs, audio, guided tours and the presentation of the Green Directory.
Sustainable Festival 09 and all activities of the Organization Sustainable design was declared the Ecological and Social Interest in Buenos Aires ¨, by the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires.
