This January 1 marked the one anniversary of the heroic Cuban Revolution, 49 years of fierce fighting and deep struggle for national and social liberation of the Caribbean people. This starts the year to fulfill the half-century of this beautiful experiment of socialist transformation led by Fidel, Raúl and the Communist Party, embraced and defended by a people who have successfully weathered the most difficult obstacles (assault terrorists, criminal economic blockade, etc.) that has placed the enemy.
The Cuban Revolution is undoubtedly the most important historical event of the Latin-Caribbean history. Cuba is the only country in the continent liberated from the fetters of imperialism, although there are many idiots who think that this continent is free from the early nineteenth century. Cuba is the only Western Hemisphere country to have initiated and developed a historic project of a socialist character in the strong sense of the term (a project unrelated to any anti-capitalist social-democratic reformism). Cuba has been the only country after the collapse Eastern European socialism and the USSR had with greater coherence and consistency with the principles of revolutionary socialism (what happened to the Asian socialism should be discussed in depth). So Cuba was the main beacon of hope for the peoples of Latin America and the world during the night of 90's neo-liberal hegemony. These details only enough to commemorate with joy this birthday.
But for the Venezuelans, and above all the revolutionaries, Cuba has been the leading example to follow in building our project Bolivarian imperialism and for two years with an orientation defined socialist.
Cuba has given us the ability to comply with a series of social demands that oligarchic dominance Bourgeois never gave our people, these unmet needs have now begun to fill thanks to the social missions. In this sense, thousands of Cuban professionals have ensured the profound progress in health, education, culture and sports, among other areas, which have astonished the world and are a worthy example for the struggle of peoples.

" It is evident that the Cuban Revolution today is experiencing a time of complex definitions, which requires great care, wisdom and revolutionary result to avoid any regression counter as in the USSR after the reforms started in the Perestroika, which is to say sat benevolently some of the approaches outlined above.
We strongly hope that the Cuban leadership, with Fidel and Raul up front, with a brave and aware that it has defeated in more than one opportunity to imperialism are back at the height of the obstacles ahead and know a successful conclusion of the proposed reforms without abandoning the principles and strategic objective, Communism.
